Never directly says he wants to join the organisation, just live under their Sharia rule
- he's well aware of how to avoid section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000

Very convenient that he also states this wish after his passport has been confiscated

Coward and a gobsh*te, should just call his bluff.

Hate preacher Anjem Choudary, to be freed in weeks, is 'still a threat'

The Islamist preacher Anjem Choudary remains a dangerous threat ahead of his imminent release from jail, the prisons minister has warned, as plans to train an “elite corps” of Muslim chaplains to de-radicalise extremist inmates were unveiled.

Hate preacher Anjem Choudary to be freed from jail despite remaining 'genuinely dangerous'

Anjem Choudary, the notorious Islamist hate preacher, will be released from jail next month despite a chilling warning from the justice minister that he remained “genuinely dangerous”.

Choudary, 51, is due to be freed within weeks after serving half of a five and a half year prison sentence for encouraging Muslims to join Islamic State.

The Government admitted on Tuesday it was powerless to prevent Choudary from being released on licence. Rory Stewart, the prisons minister, admitting on Tuesday that the preacher was “a deeply pernicious, destabilising influence”.

If he is still "genuinely dangerous", I think he should serve his full sentence - not half.

Absolutely.

What's the parole process that allows him to be let out halfway through his term of he's still considered dangerous?

I'd expect the parole process to review that (impartially) before deciding if he can be released.

Prisons are full so they are letting people out early so there is somewhere to put new people.

If he's out on licence he'll have to comply with licence conditions ...
Release from custodial sentences (including licences)Can't see a "successful re-integration", so perhaps the authorities will likely focus on public protection and re-offending prevention ... so similar conditions to paedophiles' SOPOs - live outside a set radius from a place of worship, no preaching to worshippers, no loitering outside a place of worship etc etc

Radical preacher Choudary has assets frozen

The BBC understands police have been preparing a list of up to 20 measures to control the east London preacher.

I wonder if he'll breach the terms of his licence and be back inside ... or cleverly/cowardly keep on the right side of it? He's a coward and hypocrite so I can imagine him going totally silent, and not wanting to put his lavish lifestyle at risk again.

I'd like to lock him up with Yaxley-Lennon. The new Fletch and Godber.
