So why do you think that Obama left Saudi off the State Departments list of countries of concern? - was he worried about the funding for Mrs Clintons Foundation?

"Political language — and with variations this is true of all political parties, from Conservatives to Anarchists — is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind." George Orwell.

You appear unable to tease apart the political language being used by the Trump administration. The statement above is after the fact, not before it.  Already issued Visa's became invalid the moment he signed the executive order, without a proper security assessment having taken place. You are jumping through hoops in order to convince people that Trump is acting within the limits of Presidential power as laid out in the US Constitution and subsequent constitutional amendments. He's not and likely on a path to impeachment because he will not be faithfully defending the US Constitution as he pledged to do at his inauguration. As an American friend said to me, Congress can impeach Trump within hours if they really wanted to.

In the interest of fairness, you can sign the official petition to ALLOW Donald Trump to make a state visit to the UK here:

Petition: Donald Trump should make a State Visit to the United Kingdom.

I voted to allow him to come here, it's none of our business what he does, and we don't want to bite the hand that will be feeding us in two years time! Plus their is an awful awful awful lot of hypocrisy when it comes to who has been allowed to visit various countries. I don't think they could have thrown the red carpet any further when the Chinese president came, and he still imprissons people that don't publically agree with his dictatorship government!

"Donald Trump should be invited to make an official State Visit because he is the leader of a free world and U.K. is a country that supports free speech and does not believe that people that appose our point of view should be gagged."

They could have at least used google to check the spelling.

Also if we rely on Trump it will likely bite us in the backside, depending on Trump avoiding getting himself impeached.

Because I can't post in the other 'Trumpton' thread and both threads are mentioning the petition against a state visit for Trump.

In response to Marv (in the other thread) regarding 1 million signing a petition here needs to go a long way to be considered the will of the people ...

..... only 25% of the adult population of the US voted for Trump.
Of eligible voters, only 26.5% voted for Trump.
53% of those who did vote didn't vote for Trump.

What Trump represents is the winner of the election for the President of America, not remotely the will of the people (25%) or the will of voters (47%), which was even 1% less than his opponent.

... so it's best to leave things like 'will of the people' or 'majorities' out of the rhetoric as they simply don't stand up scrutiny.

Just like 'Leave means Leave'...

I don't believe the majority of this country have spoken and demanded he never comes. Have we had a democratic vote?
1 million people is not a big enough sample of the 63 or is it 65 plus million that live in the UK.
