Well it is still running really well and with the addition of the Skylark App it is now switching our heating off based on location.

Our old thermostat was quite advanced, so I'm not sure if it is actually saving anything. The old one needed replacing anyway and nest wasn't too much more, it's a much nicer system to use all in all.

Our boiler broke Jan 1st so it was out with the electric heaters until it was fixed. This rather squewed any figures for savings or not!

Purchased my 1st Nest Protect this week. It arrived yesterday.

Purchased another 2 today. It's expensive, but I feel I have 100% confidence in it (well as close to 100% as you can be with something electrical) and I didn't have that with my previous smoke alarms.

Yes, there were problems with the BST change. Nest really messed up.

For me, I just had to disconnect the Wi-Fi, manually change the time on the Nest to something random, and then reconnect the Wi-Fi to force it to get the time online. After that, it's been fine.

Nest Thermostat V3 seems to be on its way. Slimmer with a bigger display area and "far sight"

Anyone know of a launch date on the Next v3? Not seen anything online. Decided to go for Nest in our house as I like the learning feature idea (and I love Gadgets and this one is an easy sell to the missus) so looking into it at the mo

Can anyone explain to me what the 2 main units are? Done some googling but everything I see has the main unit with the screen getting wired in...so whats the other bit for? I assumed the display unit itself was the control and it talks to the other unit (which would be wired in place of current control unit). You see currently our control is in the hallway and I was hoping to put it in the living room without having new wiring installed
