Seems very high, what are your annual consumption figures?

I pay £40 a month for electricity and £43 a month for gas. Detached 3 bed bungalow. We do have solar PV and recently installed solar thermal, so I'm hoping my gas bills will come down a little. I like the house warm and don't sit around in 4 layers to keep warm in the winter, the heating is on.

We pay £245 for gas and electric - not sure what the ratio is but most is electric.
Thats for a 4 bed house with an office in the garden which has big PC running 24/7 365.
Wife also does ironing at home for several hours a day and the kids are normally on something electric with  lights on etc...

Sounds a lot, what is your annual consumption for both? Should be on your bill.

Gas used was 852 units
Electric used was 13095 units

I also must have dropped my use recently as they have now just dropped the DD payment to £220.00 PM Whoopee!!!!!

Just done a basic check with the company I work for and with that usage your electric would be £157 a month on a budget plan and gas £9 a month. And that is on the higher tariff you could qualify for lower than that.
I am not touting for business as I don't want to break forum rules just saying check with a switching service you will save money.
