Here you go the Fast Slow Pro™

But be warned that is an all singing dancing with pressure cooking and risotto making capabilities. The latter was one of the main attractions and it is superb at it. I’m terrible at cooking rice and I hate boil in a bag or microwave. So this is ideal for someone like me, and risottos are just perfect.

Just reading that the makers Sage is another name for Breville. By coincidence, a friend of mine called me today to say that a load of Breville products have come into his recycling yard and for me to call in tomorrow to see if there's anything I want. He only mentioned kettles, toasters and sandwich makers but I'll be having a good sift through everything to see if one of these have made it in there too.
Got to be worth a punt if I can pick one up for free!

As I understood it at the time, these Breville products are officially in the UK only under the Sage label. But in other territories like Australia and South Africa they are only under the Breville brand...So be careful if you see it as Breville in the UK...Then again if you can get it free of charge who cares....

It should be noted that for the slow cook, they really don't do much different than cheaper pots. Only thing for slow cook that may be relevant, is that with sear functions you really keep all flavours together as there is no need to transfer anything. I hope that makes sense.

PS. Whether it really makes a material difference I honestly don't know as I've never owned one without such capability. Regardless slow cooking is one of the favourite meals for our family in its many different varieties...

It's a lucky dip when I get these calls from him, it's a recycling yard after all, but I've got some decent stuff from him in the past. Everything is brand new and boxed but marked as faulty. Normally this means returns and the retailer will simply remove the fuse from the plug (or cut the plug off) and mark them as faulty so they can be disposed off. My Karcher pressure washer I got from him only needed a fuse, and a telescopic ladder had a rubber foot missing which I took off another ladder in the batch.
The amount of household products dumped by Lidl in particular is staggering. Most of my tools have come from him so looking forward to my scavenger hunt in the morning.

I might have bought that at that price instead of my IP if the price had been the same then, but sadly at the time was much more.
That said the IP has been a great purchase and has produced many good meals for us.

No pressure cookers unfortunately but I did get a nice 4 slice toaster. It's brand new with no faulty stickers on the box and going by lunchtime, seems to work fine. I also took a stainless steel hand blender but when I got it home it was damaged so will be going back to the tip.
There's loads left we didn't go through so hope to get a matching kettle and waffle maker next week

Anyone have any thoughts on the Pressure King Pro ? There are a few going second hand in my area. Can get the 12-1, 5 litre for about £35, hardly used.
I use our slow cooker all year round and am impressed by what the PKP claims to do and the reviews seem generally decent. Given I'll definitely use it a lot, it seems worth a punt at that price.

We have that model. She says it bollocks water everywhere. I suspect pilot error and so I have just set it away on the soup preset. Let you know in 30 mins.
