I've always loved strawberry jam and cheese sandwiches. I don't remember when I first discovered I loved them, or even how, I just know I've loved them since I was a kid. Ideally on thick, with strawberry jam (obviously) and sliced cheddar (cheese fans hate me, but I like the rubbery Tesco Value mild cheddar. Yeah yeah, sue me)

Not perhaps so much weird and might be more known than I suspect but a tip I picked up from my QC days is:

When a banana goes black don't throw it out. Stick it in the freezer and when you take it out, peel the skin off with a spoon and either enjoy a nice sweet and softish banana stick or chop and add a sweet spirit to it.

They keep for ages in the freezer and are so easy to peel.

After hearing @mjn post about his cheese and tomato sandwich, I had to make some toast.

Sliced Bauernmettwurst and freshly grated Gran Padano

My daughter actually mixes the two together. Proper little German girl.

A step too far for me.

The meat is amazing on pizza

Not a snack but a meal im having tonight which my mum used to make us as kids is special meat.

Take one tin of heinz spaghetti, a goos chunk of corned beef and two oxo cubes.Heat and smash it all up.

Tastes lovely and comforting though nobisy else outside my family will eat it and claim it looks like dog food.
