If you're not arsed about sustaining it, do the pink grapefruit pre surgery diet. I did it and lost 16lbs in a week. Obviously put it all back on again like after but served a purpose for my skydive anyway

I've got some free weights at home that I got last week. I'll crack on with them and slow down the water intake.

I'll need to keep it off. I know when I'm in reserves I'll be fine and will not have a problem with fitness but at the moment I've only got myself pushing me and you know it sucks working out alone. Never in my life have I ever had to diet so I'm finding this a little hard always been able to just eat what I want and when.

Whether your meat and veg are organic will have no effect on weight loss whatsoever   Unless it makes  your wallet lighter

Re: sugar: replace this with Xylitol. It tastes just like sugar (same texture) but without the calories of sugar or weird taste of artificial sweeteners. And believe it or not, its actually good for your teeth (many toothpastes contain this). On the downside its not cheap, around £10 a kilo and it should be kept away from pets as it can be fatal if swallowed by them...though i'm sometimes tempted to feed the neighbours cat with this to stop her crapping all over my lawn lol. Tesco's do a 'Total Sweet' xylitol pack for £1-£2 for a 250g pack so better to test out a smaller pack first.

From what I know, water may fill you up but it's more about your calorie deficit when it comes to weight loss.

Interestingly, it has been discovered that the body treats artificial sweeteners the same as real sugar.
So it believes the sugar levels in the blood have risen and so dumps insulin to draw the excess sugar out of the blood and store it in the muscles and liver (and speed up the process of storing more fat) and then in response to the insulin dump your body then craves more sweet things to get the blood sugar levels stabilised and so the sugar cravings and insulin roller coaster end up causing you to binge on sweet stuff causing more fat gain.
Much better to avoid sweeteners and unnecessary sugars.

^^^ Xylitol is not an artificial sweetener. Its aspartame free and is already found in human bodies as well as fruit & veg. That said, its not calorie free so of course it should be used in moderation. The point I was trying to make was, use Xylitol instead of sugar.
