I also put mayonnaise through a steak tartare, add a few capers and some seasoning and voila you have filet American yum yum...

After all this burger talk, a quick trip to Morrisons butcher, a cheap brisket joint, some braising steak and some sliced Emmental.

Meat fine ground and 30 minutes later we have 12 patties and its burger night in the lowmans household.

Before the wet panties brigade got their manicured fingers involved I would always ask for medium rare in restaurants and pubs, but now have to settle on the rare chance the chef knows right and dishes it up how it should be

I keep meaning to do at home and then find another great place that serves real burgers.

Yup, thin burgers. The missus, the eldest kids and me have double burgers, the youngest just has a single burger.
