Well to keep this updated!

Successfully moved onto Atkins on Sunday and have maintained ketosis keeping my carb level below 20g...

Weighed myself today.... I'm 19st 5lb...

I've lost 24lb in 16 days, almost 2 stone!

Goal has changed to 15-16st after talking to doc and updated BMI calculation.

Decided once I see a slow down on weight loss I'll move to 5:2 but still maintaining under 20g carbs on my 5 days.

I've gone down a collar size in shirts which is nice, jeans are getting quite baggy.

Finding the diet incredibly easy...

Update:

Still going well, haven't cheated or stepped outside of the diet.

Current Weight: 18st 13lb

That means over the last 27 days i've lost 30 pounds.

I did have a stall in weight loss - but this is normal as body adjusts. Weight has started to drop again now.

Still going!

1lb lost this week.

I had quite a bit of a "cheat" this week - it was my sisters wedding and despite having a low carb option for the big day.... It was Friday - Sunday affair so some meals out i just had whatever i preferred due to the lack of choice, in addition to that the canapés and sweets going around.

Thankfully i was balanced, didn't drink any alchol and while eating more than 20g of carbs i was sensible with it. So rather than gaining i still lost (Even though only 1lb)

I don't foresee much weight loss over the coming 2 weeks - i'm off to Spain on Saturday for 14 nights. While i plan to be sensible - eating low carb options when we cook in the villa.. When it comes to meals out i'm not going to over analysis the food.

Starting Weight: 21st 1lb
Current Weight: 18st 9lb
Total Loss: 2st 6lb (34 pounds)
Total Weeks: 6

02/07/2015: 295 pounds
09/07/2015: 281 pounds
22/07/2015: 267 pounds
29/07/2015: 265 pounds
06/08/2015: 262 pounds
13/08/2015: 261 pounds

Good luck, I’m really glad that you share your weight loss experience with us. It’s encouraging for those who are looking for a weight loss. You are proving that without proper hard work and diet, no on can lose weight. Most of them take overweight as a normal thing and just accept it. They don’t even try to lose their weight because they are not ready to change their lifestyle for that. I was in similar situation weighing over 290 lbs, I never thought of treating it. But as I got aged, many obesity-related problems started to affect me. I’ve been diagnosed for diabetes and other heart diseases and then I had to lose weight for surviving. I was sure that diet won’t work for me and searched for other options. Since joining a weight loss program I lost about 90 lbs within 10 months. Now I realized the importance of staying healthy. Since my weight loss program, I’ve been doing great with no health problems.

Sorry horto but we don't allow people to sign up and promote business, particularly if they are unlikely to be of any use to our posters who are all from the UK and Europe. I have edited your post accordingly.

Well chaps...

I'm back from my 2 week holiday abroad - but i should really say my eating holiday has lasted 3 weeks as i plan to restart my diet tomorrow.. Been quite unwell over the last few days, really wasn't the time to kick myself back into gear.

I pretty much eat what i wanted in Spain (As we want out to eat most nights), i don't drink much anyway but have a few G&Ts. Puddings, chocolates, breads, ice creams.. You name it, i consumed it.

So i weighed myself today, expecting the worst and hoping for the best.

I have gained 4lb - which i'm pretty happy about after 3 weeks of complete excess. I would say that 4lb is likely water weight which will drop in the first 3-5 days of me back on a low carb diet, so relatively little damage done. Then again we had a private pool with our villa and i swam 40 laps of it each morning before our son woke up, mainly to counterbalance the food consumption.

I'm looking forward to getting back on plan and having structure again, my wifes famous stew will be my last carb filled meal tonight .
