We call it a bacon butty although I don't think butty is a regional name, quite common?...buttered bread, bacon and definitely brown sauce if I'm adding stuff, and/or some cheese.

A bacon virgin

It can go either way....If cooked well you’ll love it, if cooked badly you’ll never eat it again

I do bacon on the charcoal BBQ, my son absolutely loves it. And any kind of sauce on bacon is blasphemy, why would you want to ruin its porky goodness.

Thank you for putting in an appearance, in many respects you may be the reason I made this thread. Would you mind sharing how you've rode this ride for so long without being introduced to the delights of well cooked swine?

OCD much?

You must be the adventurous sort. Easy tiger!

Speaking of HP Sauce, it most definitely doesn't taste the same as it used to. Darn reformulations, they're everywhere.

100% this. I love a bacon sarnie, unsmoked back bacon. We have wholemeal bread usually, but I occasionally have a "treat" and have white. With butter, obviously.
That's it - keep it simple..

Now - a fried-egg sarnie, with a runny yolk, demands ketchup.
