No burger in the world is worth the hassle and the traffic you'll endure getting in and out of TC. It is quite literally - hell on earth... Good luck

Never tried Five Guys but everyone seems to rave about them so will have to try them at some point. My only problem is that in Manchester, they're located in TC and whilst that remains the case, am unlikely to ever try them. I simply refuse to go there because that temple of doom, the people and the traffic transforms me into a psychopath..

Maccy D's, I used to like as a kid but don't generally touch now unless I'm ravenous enough to eat a dead pigeon. I find them too cardboardy but, I still quite like the cheese quarter pounder on occasion.

Burger King I've never liked. The burgers aren't bad but they leave a peculiar after-taste.

KFC I love. Always have and always will.

Gourmet Burger is also nice.

I also love Pizza Hut and Dominos (because their Tomato sauces are to delish).

My main junk food fix though is the kebab and I am spoilt for choice where I live in South Manchester. Within a couple of miles of either myself or the missus I have two standouts in Chorlton in Turkisk Delight and Panicos. Fallowfield has Sajaan & Ya Souvlaki and Rusholme (the curry mile) simply has an embarrassment of riches to make me fat

I've not had a BK, MacDonalds or KFC in years. Last time I did I thought it was so terrible that I vowed to never go back! We all know the burgers look nothing like the photos on the board, but it really took the piss! It was a tiny, sloppy mess with about two shreds of lettuce and a musy slice of tomato. Yuck.

I've been to 7bone on a couple of occasions, they've very good, but it inevitably costs quite a bit more than the usual fast food places.

7Bone Burger Co. | Burgers, BBQ & Cocktails

Well worth it though, and the beers are good.

I never usually have that problem, it'll be a weekday and probably won't be till after the normal lunch rush. Anytime I have been before I park in front of the food hall without issue.

Wouldn't even consider it at the weekend though, whenever the wife wants to go she knows that I will never be going along with her!

I like mcd's or bk for a nice dirty treat. Would literally rather go hungry than go to KFC though.

Up until about 8 mths ago McDonalds was my choice, mainly due to their handiness, price, and free wifi. I prefer KFC but it's more of a treat.
Last summer I realised that I was piling on weight (everyone else noticed before then!) and I've pretty much cut them out of my diet completely. I still get a craving for KFC but no desire to go back to McDonalds.

(I've only a few more pounds to go I hit my target weight loss of 2 stone...woohooo)

Sorry to bring this to your attention, but a Five Guys Bacon Cheeseburger and large Fries is 2282kcal and 126g of FAT...!

That's almost 9 BigMac's.

except the Five Guys tastes 100 times better than an insipid Big Mac and it's wafer thin beef patties.

Agreed, I wasn't suggesting that I'd rather have 9 BigMac's, just pointing out the facts when people think Maccy D's is bad for you.

Who cares anyway, I LOVE burgers!

Gone right off McDonald's, everything now is tiny and tasteless. Wasn't that impressed with five guys, the burger was quite nice but the chips were pathetic and it was way overpriced for the amount of food you get. KFC is just a greasy mess these days, I much prefer the smaller chains as you get more for your money and strangely the chicken seems better quality.
My favourite at the moment is kebab, my local does a lovely kofte, smothered in garlic mayonnaise it's delicious.
But overall all ours are pathetic compared to America, proper man size portions not the pathetic kids meals we get here. And the ribs are food from the gods, I spent most of my holiday in those places
