Went to Quilon last night for our 6 month anniversary. Michelin star Indian restaurant.
All I can say is that I don't think I could have a normal curry again!

A little expensive (comparably) but the food was out of this world and pretty much most if the people eating there Indian which is always a great sign.

British currys from a British curry house usually consists of half a gallon of oil and a cup of sugar though, so yeah they are probably a bad thing.
Most of them use the same suppliers too, as with the cheapo Chinese takeaways.

That's what put me off.
The last curry i tried had a layer of oil about a cm deep floating on the top.

Just enjoying a home made curry. Hardly any oil used. Yummy!

I have heard so many people recommend Tayyabs. It's a place I have to knock off the list at some point this year.

I will only eat in a place with no alcohol selling facility. To be honest, I was making a curry last week and I swear to god, I can't think if a place which could match its taste or consistency.

Got me thinking about the people who visit the larger shops and actually eat  poor quality food. Simply  because its the place to be see. In or invited too.

I've been there once. Same small chain as the one n Huddy, but in my opinion Huddy is a tad better.

I stole my recipe for Achari Goat from them (don't ask how I got it).

You know, regarding 'authentic', it doesn't bother me.

Is it delicious is the only real question.

Exactly, I doubt that the haggis pakora from Sing in Glasgow's West End is authentic other than in Scotland. However it is fan bloody tactic.
