About £120-£140 a week (Tesco).

Family of 4, (2 adults, 15yo and 13yo).

We live well and don't go without anything, but we do look out for the deals and spend wisely.

Cheers,

Nigel

This is quite an interesting thread, and it may be useful to gauge yourself against others in a similar situation.

2 adults, 2 young children, 1 still in nappies etc.

£100-120 a week - we recently cut out midweek wine which will reduce this a little.

This covers all meals, lunches for kids and work etc.

Over the weekend I had a home cooked lasagne, a home cooked curry, a cooked chicken lunch, and 2 fry-up's.

How many are in your family?

About £120 per week.

2 Adults, 1 Child.

Normally around £100 on a single shop, Tesco's , Sainsburies, which we fancy.
Around £20 extra during the week topping up on Milk, fresh fruit and so forth.

The government bang on about people wasting food but half the time it's because you can't buy it in small enough quantities in the first place.  I like me supermarket donut's just don't want 5 of them at a time

We do a good amount of home cooking - lasagne, curry, pizza, and the leftovers can be taken to work the next day for lunch. Don't buy ready meals, and cook from fresh ingredients. We don't eat out that often, maybe once per month.
There are 2 adults and one child (7) in our family.
