I've been looking for my arcade racer fix, Origin keeps telling me NFS Rivals DD is 50% off at £25 and comes with NFS: HP and Burnout Paradise, I considered it for a while until I was reminded of the locked 30fps and I'm not going back to that, it's bad enough when in-game cutscenes drop that low let alone playing like it .

Long story short screw EA and their piss poor releases on PC of late, now the only question remains is should my hard end cash go towards this instead? Is it worth the current £15 asking price and is it actually going to get a full release?

They didnt do themselves any favours with the name of the game, for ages i assumed this was just a generic thread about racing games , looks very fun though, the physics look absolutely insane, are they cpu based or physx?

I believe none of it uses NVIDIA's PhysX and it's all part of their engine.

Same with the title until I saw the video I posted earlier, I'd assumed it to be a generic racing sim or something of the sort.

Currently for £15 you get 3 tracks (2 racing ones and one demo derby) and the technology showcase - so in pure monetary costs - no it is not worth it.  However, the game itself, even tho it is very alpha, is fun, the physics are great (just watch that nerd3 video) and the 4 minutes each race takes to complete is a lot of fun.  When released it should be more expensive than the current £15, as most of these early access games tend to be, so if you have an interest in it now, then buy it, treat it like a preorder, and forget about it till steam updates the game

glad to see the love for this game. If multiplayer is anywhere near as good as flatout UC then we are in for a treat

This isn't the final name of the game, it's only the working title

I got it straight away but because my wheel is now set into my screen I cant play this as you cant move the seat or FOV (yet)...gonna be a corker though

My issue isn't current content, I got Assetto Corsa for example without a second thought. My concern is what the final game will include and whether or not it will be completed 100% as on their website they talk about releasing an alpha version if it doesn't get enough funding?

Yeah it is a risk, but there is also no guarantee Asseto Corsa (which i bought as well) will ever reach gold status as well.  Maybe the alpha version talked about on the website is the early access code they released on steam.  They could always open that up to the public to gain more funding.
