Ebay's buyer protection makes it very safe for buyers as long as you're careful and follow their guidelines. I would say arguably too safe as it makes it too easy for the honest sellers to get scammed.

You've just opened my eyes a little, PMC wasn't a brand I ever considered but, looking at some reviews online (not WhatHiFi) LOL, I am seriously looking into these.. Second hand of course.... Just need to learn the product range now... OB1, FB1 etc etc....

OK. So the PMC search led to the PMC twenty 23 which I like a lot.... It also then led to a speaker brand I've not heard of but read great things.. Amphion Argon 3LS.

God this is going to be expensive if I decide to go for it...

Amphion speakers are one of my favourite speaker musically, they have depth, pace and a sweetness that is hard to quantify. Even the tiniest bookshelf speakers have the ability to show up some of the market leaders without trying.

If you've never experience a speaker breath musical ability, then you really ought to hear them. I would be interest in hearing them with the new Arcam, but again, I'm at odds with using such an accomplished speaker and having some software take some of its ability away even though it's correcting the room - its going to be an interesting time for all music lovers out there as software correction software is going to become more of a normal feature than not in a few years in my opinion

I agree with you on the software room correction comment. It is becoming more and more prevalent in audio equipment, its how its implemented that is the main thing.
The likes of DIRAC and ARC are definitely up there with the best and are improving all the time.
Having said that, a couple of acoustic panels, especially at the first reflection points can do wonders also.

I don't want this to turn into a speaker comparison thing but how do you think the Amphions compare to the likes of the PMC twenty 23 or Spendor A4....
