i try to keep an open mind.... rift has been the best for me this gen, my ONLY issue with pimax is it is going to be the 1st out of the gate and i want to see what the other players have.... but its new, its vr and yes i ssure as hell am interested

i have no loyalty to any company. they are all mega corporations who do not give a crap about us.

my gut feeling (having never tried the 8k so could be wrong of course) is that i would personally prefer a 150 degree FOV with slightly smaller headset and with much higher DPI (due to smaller FOV)

i think there is a half way house, not going full CIG / star citizen, but i reckon i could do a better job than some of the vids from pimax.... and i have all the artistic talent of a monkey.

There's a balance, too flashy and it becomes more than likely meaningless bullst!... Anyone seen the Samsung advert with the diamond jeweller trying to explain how Quantum Dot works?

That said, I do think Pimax could try harder.

Got a kickstarter update today saying they move on to prototype 4 then 5 before production unit.

I ended up pledging last night. For the smaller 8k set. already have the vive (currently boxed up so have controllers and bases already.

Cool..... I do not think it is fair to take anything away from oculus even if you hate them post Facebook. They were the ones who really pushed the new generation and big respect to those early pioneers who had the vision to back KSer. Pimax would not exist now if not for oculus and a vr KSer now is a lot more of a known entity than in 2012 with an entire infrastructure to back it up.

Congrats to pimax tho
