i have the metal version and the rubber version.

I prefer both to the Apple Watch I once had.  The waterproof rating and transflective display (so you can read it in bright sunlight, and when the backlight is off) are winners.

If also has GPS and NFC which few others do.

The metal version looks quite handsome, and the rubber version is comfortable and easy to put on.

Both might be better if a touch smaller, but otherwise still one of the best smartwatches in practical terms.

Any idea how much the metal strap is and if it can be bought separately?
Would you mind posting a pic of it please?

The metal strap on its own is almost impossible to get hold of.  It is on Sony's website for around £60 but it is never in stock.

This is the reason I have 2 watches, as in the end I bought the metal version of the whole watch from a grey importer for around £150.

I don't have any pics of my own to share, but I couldn't do any better than google images anyway.

This YouTube video helped me decide.

I got one for xmas too, the rubber version.
It's great for me and have already used it cycling which is very handy.
I also used it snowboarding as it linked to the Skitracks app and would tell you the distance/speed etc without taking off your gloves which was a great feature.
The battery life is great and getting your notifications etc is a plus.
I can't quite get the strap to fit though as on the one hole, it's slightly too tight when my arm is warm or at the gym, and the next hole is too loose. I'm sure i'll get used to it soon though as i've not worn a watch for years!

I don't think i'm getting the most out of it though. Does anyone have a link to an instruction manual or how to guide that they've used?

Got this on Sunday and had a play with it a bit.

First comments—very impressed! It doesn’t look as nice as the pricier models (Moto 360, Urbane etc) but it doesn’t look ugly. My wrist is on the small side and it probably is slightly too big but it doesn’t stand out too much. The strap is very well designed and clips on nicely though I’m not a big fan of the rubber which is a lint magnet- I’d have preferred metal.

I love how the notifications work- texts just pop up as soon as you receive them. The apps on your phone just automatically sync up when you first start which was brilliant. In the first hour I’d received a BBC News alert and today a BBC Sport news alert- both worked a treat.

The fitness side of things looks decent too with my steps worked out and calories burned worked out etc.

One quibble I have is that when the phone turns off I have to turn the Android Wear notifications slider back on every time. Any idea if this can be always set to “On”?

I've looked and can't see any in stock, you'd think Sony would jump up and down to get more stock.
I've got the black band and a free white one from Curry's.
It's good, but I think the novelty will wear off [emoji14]

Mine is at 25% and has been off charge since 7am, that seems quite low
