I've had Apple on the phone and sorted out the problem. It's a setting on the iPhone.
For those that are having a similar problem try this:

On your iPhone go to Settings, Privacy, location services, system services (at the bottom) and ensure 'Motion calibration and distance' is turned ON. That sorted it for me.

I'm using Endomondo for my running. Problem is that when I lift my wrist it keeps reverting to the clock screen meaning I have to flip the screen up to get it back to Endomondo. Any ideas?

In settings, general, activate on wrist raise you can change it in there.

I may have asked this before, I've asked so many questions recently, I'm getting lost, lol!

Does the screen revert to watch face even when using Apples own Workout app?
It's a shame if it did, you would think that some apps (like fitness tracking) would override and always be shown.
I don't really want to set it to show the last used app (I like seeing the watch face first)... But I would like it to show the workout app automatically, lol!

It doesn't revert back to the watch face now that I have changed the activate on wrist settings. However, Endomondo just had a timer circle for the whole run so was useless, really disappointed and wouldn't recommend this app for the watch. Hopefully they will iron out the bugs. I think I will use just the apple timer next time.

Thanks. I'm still wondering with regards to leaving the setting to watch face default whether Apples own Workout app would override that when a workout is activate. You would think it would!
