No issue at all with mine.  Had it a couple of months now and love it, used in conjunction with the activity tracker on phone to never miss a step

Battery is rated 3-4 hours with GPS on, plenty for a couple of commutes.  GPS locks much more quickly than my Garmin devices, usually a few seconds when outside, and taking the below photos indoors it took about 30 seconds.

I've attached a couple of images of what the screen displays in bike mode. Looks like it does what you want it to do, the only thing I would say is that it can be awkward to see the screen when riding a bike.

I use a Garmin Edge for cycling as it displays so much more and it's on my handle bar.  But as a starter GPS watch the Band does a pretty good job, I actually use both at the same time just so Ms health is accurate.

I've attached an image of the app in action, showing where I'm cycling slowly and quickly, a nice touch which I don't think exists on anything like strata.

If you are in to running then it's fantastic, it's pretty much replaced my Garmin forerunner.

Thanks Vorn, much appreciated
I guess the first screen is showing, time, calories and heart rate. What does the other show apart from clock. Is that distance & speed ?
And how do you switch between those 2 screens ?

Not into running, as a big guy I just can't do it but love riding my bike and wanting to improve and do longer distances.

Yep distance and speed.  to switch screen you swipe from right to left, you can just about see a blue tab on the edge of the screen.

If you are looking to improve your fitness then the Band is great, the app shouldn't be underestimated either it will motivate you and make you want to do more, maybe even run ;-)

Purchased my Band at lunch time.
Impressed so far and noticed you can customize the bike tile to show the 3 sets of data you want.
Seems comfortable enough, going to get some getting used to though as I have not worn a watch since I was a kid.

Only issue I have so far is it does not seem to preview emails or text messages. I have checked all settings on the Band and my Phone and it will show that I have an email and who from but won't show subject or content of the email either in a quick view or by swiping down. Action button does not do anything on the emails either and I have quick read on.
I will see if that changes with emails coming through later on.

I hadn't realised you could change what is displayed!

You need to tap the screen to see the message, not swipe down or press the action button.

I think it's just with emails and it just shows the title. Don't think it does more than that and I am not too fussed as I did not buy it for that.

Yeah I noticed via the app on my phone where you can customise tiles it gives an edit option and you can select 3 sets of data to be displayed out of the 6. Very handy for me as I don't have to swipe and can easily just glance at my wrist. Impressed so far.

Do you know if the GPS is on all the time or just when you have it on for a ride or run ?
I assume once I end a ride it would turn it off.

It will ask you when you start a ride or run whether you want to turn GPS on.
