It was between the A7mk3, the RX10mk4 and a bike for me but as much as I don't want to admit it in here, the bike has won this time.  The A7mk3 seems an absolutely superb all round and I'm impressed with the figures coming in:

The main issue for me as always with the A7 series is that I lose interest as I start pricing up lenses not just because of the cost but also because in some cases it will be the fifth time I've bought such a lens after investing in 4/3, micro 4/3, Nikon F-mount and Sony E-mount.  If I didn't have the latter two I'd have probably snapped a A7mk3 straight up.

I know what you guys are saying. Took me a few weeks to decide whether to sell up my nikon gear and move over.. But so glad I have it the best choice I've made.

Seems Sony still haven't sorted out the overheating issues with video yet (skip to 7.25 ish)

                               

That's 3 issues now and it's only been out about 2 weeks

It appears it a good job I got one from the show. As many stores not expecting stock till mid or end April

Doubt it's random as it's something that's plagued Sony for a while. But how often do you shoot video, and if you do how often do you shoot video for long periods? Most people will never see this issue

Very much my though I don’t shoot video at that length in one go.

Interesting on the overheating, I shoot video and photographs at weddings and my A9's haven't overheated yet
