Anybody see the suggestive gestures Ronnie was pulled up for last night by the Ref? I think he was losing it in the penultimate frame? Boredom or stress?

He's great once in full flow however, I wonder if he's not being challenged enough? I mean to have a year out and then come back and possibly win the Worlds again, what does that say about the current tournament or even the current game? Maybe it just hasn't fallen right this year with the stars that have gone out - I don't know?

It's not been great I agree. Perhaps what Selby was saying about the players being tired is true.

I dont think it was captured on TV, or at least it hasn't been shown, the guy who was presenting this morning seemed to imply that it was an obscene gesture, but it seemed to me that he kind of over exaggerated exactly what the gesture was, whereas Hazel Irvine seemed to suggest there was some doubt over whether it was as serious as that.

Regarding whether he's being challenged enough, I dont think Trump has or will make things easy for him, but of course thats only one player, but i think O Sullivan has played some of the best snooker of his life, its hard to imagine anyone really challenging him, as Steve Davis has just said even in the modern game with all of the great younger players O Sullivan still seems to be head and shoulders above them, i'd have to agree with that, his game is as exciting as it ever was, but he seems to have even more precision and tactical awareness.

His ego is too big as everyone keeps singing his praises, I still don't think he would have beaten Hendry in his prime. Hope he really does quit for good.

I think that's what it is, he's after a bit of ego stoking. maybe if all his supporters and snooker fans in general just told him to **** off for a change instead of putting him on a pedestal all the time, his tune might be a bit different.

I won't be watching the final, I don't care for his whole attitude towards the game, supporters or his opponents. one way or another, he has shat on each at some point.

All to play for tomorrow. Hawkins still well in it. Not the walkover some thought it was going to be.

I don't know three frames is a lot, if he'd won that last frame to make it one behind id agree, but three in the final against the Rocket is going to be tough. Its a completely different match to the Waldon match

I think those three frames could be telling, i have to admit i didn't think it would be as close as it has, Hawkins seems to have steeled himself so far, I think the rocket will pull it off though if he keeps his head together, and with the experience he has there's very little excuse if he does lose focus.

Anyway, its under way
