Robbie Lawler is back in the UFC, has a tough task though facing Koscheck at 157.

Strikeforce have confirmed that their January event will be the last under their Showtime contract. Not sure of the details but it seems that some kind of release has been agreed. That doesn't necessarily mean the end of Strikeforce but it's been clear for a while that the Showtime deal was the only thing preventing Zuffa from closing the organisation down so I'd be amazed if Strikeforce goes any further than that event.

Any predictions then for JDS vs Valesquez, I think the fight will end up as the first, the only chance Cain has if he takes him down and that's easier said than done, JDS has excellent TDD, I fancy JDS by knockout end if round 1 or early round 2

Pretty much the same.  I like Cain and he's an excellent fighter, but I just think JDS is that little bit better.

Cain hits hard though, and at HW anyone could get KO'd but i just think JDS has a better chance of landing that shot.

PS, happy Christmas everyone!

I think JDS by Sub. He's been bragging about his BJJ an think Velasquez will want to test it. He'll take him down with his wrestling and JDS will come to life and have his way with him from there.

Mac Danzig has a podcast now in case anyone wants to check it out.  I like the guy and always respected him since he entered TUF as he took the comp seriously.  Anyway Dan hardy was on it recently and again with forest griffin and worth a listen.  Dan is always quite articulate and interesting to listen to IMO.
