All Taylors antics aside, I think this years championship has been pretty good. The QF's onwards in particular, where 7 of the 8 best in the world occupied the spots had some amazing games and extremely high 3 dart averages. Van Gerwen is a monster thrower. I don't think I've ever seen anyone who can consistently score so heavily, leg after leg since Phil Taylor a few years back.

He's been outstanding all tournament and fully deserves to win it and if his doubles percentage improves, then Taylor will be hard pushed to get much out of this match. Should be close but I don't think Taylor will have enough on current form.

Keep an eye out for the flight biting, hopefully we'll see that early on. The tell tale sign that you've got Phil in your pocket!

For me Taylor is the Ronaldo of the darts world. Awesome player but a smug git with it. So hope he gets beat tonight

This is awful. Any player could beat Taylor if he kept getting 50 with three darts on his own important rounds.
