Ok I’ve booked tickets for coliseum but it’s not give me pdf to print at home, it says I must collect from ticket office does this mean I’m in for a long wait, I have asked them to send me a pdf.

still, you may see some roman soldiers who'll want to have their photos taken with you

We went last May and I can't emphasise enough about getting to the colleseum and Vatican early

Day 1 we arrived at the colleseum at 8;55 with our roma pass and was inside within 5 minutes. When we left about 11, the queues were huge.

Day 2 we arrived at the Vatican with our prebooked voucher (exchange for a ticket once inside) at 8;45. Go to the right hand queue and we were inside within 10 minutes and we had the sistine Chapel to ourselves for a few minutes which was amazing

We used our other free entry roma pass for castle d'angelo which w very interesting with great views

Dont bother with the Spanish steps as really isn't anything special

If colleseum is free, then why did you buy tickets?

Booked t to avoid the queues tbh and it gives us all day Sunday to just wander and take in the sights, we’ve got the coliseum booked for Friday evening and the Vatican Saturday the rest of the time we can chill and just take it all in, plus have a few drinks.
