Nothing like using entertainment to send the same trite messages, over and over again. This time its the well worn drum of feminism and sexual diversity.
Dracula's now sexually ambiguous and Van Helsing is an empowered woman, who puts the nasty old male vamp in his place.
Looking beyond this codswallop, the story itself is a mess. Its all over the place, taking a classic tale that works just fine as it is and mangles it beyond recognition.
The special effects are convincing, if a little overly gruesome at times and the acting is actually pretty polished. Regrettably, so much else is awful, its hard to say much that's positive.
Sucks the life out of a literary classic. 4/10 from me.
