Upon reading some of the negative criticisms I felt obligated to stand up for what is in my opinion a fun spin on a common plot line where a player gets stuck in a game he loves. Obviously, if your cinematic need is to empathize with the protagonist and aren't fond of games or gamers then this isn't an anime for you.

Negatives: This anime does have some issues in that it is fast paced (not as bad as SAO) and constantly bolts passed some minor details as a result, but the overall story-line never seems to be impacted. The first two seasons seem to be more about building up the image of power of the main hero most likely setting him up for some brutal falls later on. This anime does also contain some light hentai references which in most instances adds some nice grit or cheap humor to the world but in other cases is completely unnecessary (fairly standard stuff for non-mainstream anime).

One key detail I'd like to remind and reinforce in the viewers of this; is that his emotions/humanity is being influenced/moderated by an outside force, much like he is being played by a player. Which is the fun new perspective that this anime adds to the genre. (Not really a spoiler as it introduced in the first episode)
