Many of us have come from diverse social backgrounds and lived in all sorts of places that would make some cringe. I've been in bizarre situations brushing against the higher echelons of society, but never did I concern myself about what class I was. Some people worry too much.
Totally 100% agree, which has been my point all along with this. I seriously am not concerned about that, nor what others think of me in that context. That will never hold me back.

I have two properties fully paid for. Three cars all paid for. A fair amount of savings and three different pension pots one of which is final salary.
So I should be OK for my planned retirement at 55 from my professional role that I achieved through further education.
Socially we go out to restaurants and Cinema's and not down the pub.
So what does that make me? I pretty much don't care.
I get up every working day morning and go to work. I've done that for over 30 years.

We are and we do but in all honesty can we actually say WE go through life not looking down our noses at others ? We may not care to look up and believe it but be assured they look down upon us . Even in this thread I have seen posts as sh*te always rolls downhill and never up .
I always both answer and avoid the question by saying I see myself in the Professional Class, being a Chartered Engineer...
