Interesting story, as most bios are. It definitely had a lower budget but the film crew made it work well. My issues are when it takes an obvious "Lifetime Network" turn for the love/drama. Yes, they're telling the story of the ladies, but the feel of the man drama just didn't settle right, almost like that stuff could have been a separate movie. I was asking myself at times "Am I watching a rap/hip hop bio, or Waiting To Exhale"? Maybe I'm being picky. The music business, song writing, and recording scenes were done better than most bios. Rocket man excelled at this too. At the end of the day, it is a made for tv music bio, but overall it's definitely worth the watch and either rekindles your interest or opens your eyes to Salt n Pepa.
