Questions about guitar amp

No, there was no DVD in my box.  I haven't opened the manuals for the amp or the pod yet.

One more thing I meant to say earlier - you can NOT get a true impression of how awesome this amp sounds by listening to videos on YouTube.  It's fine for getting a vague idea of what it can do, but it's nothing like the real thing in action.  I strongly recommend that anybody with GAS and a weak will (Goooner, I'm looking at you) steers WELL CLEAR of any music shop that stocks Line 6 gear until their fingers are too rigid with arthritis to think about playing the guitar.

Wow, major congrats are in order!

I reckon we are all jealous. Next time we harp on about Variaxs feel free to go into smug mode about how you have the rest of the dream rig...can't help think it's just a matter of time before you complete it tho

It is bloody loud though, and that's on the low volume setting!  If I'm honest, it's too loud for home use.

Last November I heard the first of a series of live 40 minute demos by that chap Paul from Line 6 (video above). And then played the whole rig in front of twenty people!  I've tried since not to go over the top about Variax and the rest of the rest of the gear. I played whole rig again when I bought the Variax. It actually is worthy of the name. I'm still not sure about the effects until they turn back time and have dials instead of menus and screen, but that's just me. The DT 25 though makes some fantastic sounds, well good enough for our standard in place of a separate Marshall, Fender, Mesa Boogie. But then again, the Variax is equally impressive at modelling other sounds.

What wattage is it Jon?  Curious as my gas for a Jim Root terror is getting painful but my one concern is its wattage and volume issues.

They had a mini amp, about the size of my fist, for 29 euros - perhaps I should have bought that instead!
