Indeed - any intervention has consequences...What will happen to the people when you cut off any line of credit? The providers will find a different way to make the money...The solution is to raise standards and lift everyone up, not to bring others down..But it is something that Labour will never get under Corbyns politics of envy...

He said he would bring "existing PFI contracts back in-house".

Well exactly.

He makes people believe different things. Promises he will deal with things.

And then lo and behold, it was never a promise.

But what did he say that makes you think he'd stop existing?

For me it was the specific words 'no new contracts' that made it sound like he meant no new contracts.

Fair enough though they couldn't just stop the contracts, they would have to follow some sort of legal process.  If it costs more to do, they would not do it I'm sure.

So you think one thing.

Other people believe he will be taking all the contracts in house.

Others think they will only insource a subset.

All things to all people is the modern labour way.

None of this having a clear and consistent message. They believe they can fool all of the people all of the time.

He said no new PFI contracts and the existing ones will be brought in house.
So, while I am not fully versed on McDonnel double speak, but if you bring an existing contract in house, doesn't that mean Labour will take them over? Only way to do that is to buy them out.

I don't think they could just scrap them and I'm sure they don't. I think a process would be followed.

You are obviously anti-labour.  Who do you favour? Not the Tories if you are against ambiguity or inconsistency.

Maybe Lib Dems? Is Vince your man?

I'm pretty obviously in favour of the Tories.

What with preferring a functioning economy, free markets and non terrorist lovers in power it was a no brainer.

The economy will pay for the Tories borrowing for a few generations, all so a small minority can cash in.

As for terrorists, Saudi Arabia, now widely considered a leader in promoting terrorism, are good pals with the Tories. Amber Rudd is all for arming them to make a fast buck.
