You can’t grumble at that price really can you!

I must pop into Costco and try one of their ribeyes. Lovely steaks

Did venison and forgot to buy the veg so made a spinach and horseradish puree.

Looks like the marrowbone sauce, which is a revelation.

Rib Eye is my favourite. Flat Iron is also great if you can find it.
Aldi aged steaks are my favourite ‘supermarket’ steaks.

Aldi's "the best" steak's are much better than tesco's or morrions i find. There 28 day aged Rib Eyes are one of the goats.

Bookers rib eye joints are not too bad either and you can cut about 12 steaks off them.

I've only had flat iron twice - first time was at a hotel and I wasn't sure what to expect, but was lovely...
then had one around a month ago in a bar / B&B we stayed at (was on special) and I sensed the young waiter was just going to ask how I wanted it - but I mentioned something else and he never mentioned it... it came out more rare than I would have liked, but got stuck in and it was tougher than the boots I was wearing... full of fat too... I know it's a cheap cut, but won't be having it again..

Medium rare aged Rib Eye with a side of Gorgonzola sauce, taken and ingested last night at The Spread Eagle, Mellor.
