Any rum drinkers in here?
I've polished off a lovely bottle of Havana club, and a mate bought me some angostura single barrel reserve which was rather nice, but now I need a new bottle. Usually I just drink jack Daniels, but rather fancy a new bottle of rum.
Any recommendations?

I usually have Morgans Spiced and now and then will buy some Woods Navy,  usually as a flu treatment

Not a fan of navy rum, although not tried it in years.
I've had Morgan spiced recommended a few times. Think I might have to give it a try.

Sailor Jerry's is a real annoyance of mine, Originally it had a fantastic vanilla taste to it and then some muppet a couple of years ago decided to change the recipe and its rubbish in comparison now!!!!

A good spiced rum you can buy fairly locally is The Kraken, you can pick it up in Tesco's now and its bloody gorgeous, one of the few that I can happily drink neat!

Morgans spiced is pretty good too

I like it. However I never had the original recipe but people recon chucking a couple of vanilla pods in the bottle makes it taste the same.

I like it as is. Tastes like cream soda when served with coke. Yum.

Is the kraken the one with the octopus on it? That's nice too.

Very aptly named as I'm sure rum was the ruin of a lot of ships also

Don't like the  'twang' morgan spiced has,but must admit I enjoy a navy rum.

Aye you can make it similar but it just annoys me that it was changed, it was easily my favourite by far and I just can't fathom why they changed it! It would be like changing the flavour of Jack daniels!


Bacardi Oakheart is another nice one thats worth a try
