Time to grow up and drink Scotch!

I used to love rum but prefer whisky these days (not whiskey note, not that I've anything against them).

That said I had my first bottle of Sailor Jerry as a gift recently and found it rather pleasurable.

Not to change the subject but since jack Daniels has been mentioned, I recommend gentleman jack to any fans, very smooth.

Bacardi 151.  It should come with COSHH instructions though.

Something about JD really grates on me, I feel like it is marketed at children. It tastes alright as a mixing drink but isn't it made from complete rubbish? So my mate who owns a bar tells me.

Has anyone found a place to get Cruzan 9 over here? I had it in America a few years back, absolutely gorgeous spiced rum but not been able to source it over here

I went off JD years ago. The smell now turns my stomaach. Sure I only drank it to be rock n roll Moved on to Jim Beam, which I find a lot easier to drink.

But this is a rum thread, and I'm yet to find a bad one. White rum excluded.

White rum is just wrong. I drank some very nice rum in Cuba, sons very cheap stuff too. I was at a event where that have huge tanks if rum and you hand over your drinking vessel which they fill with cheap neat rum with a flat price regardless of size.

The dark Havana club is very good, think it is 18 years but the younger stuff is good too, more for mixing though.
