I've drank Morgan's Spiced for years and have changed in the last year to Bacardi Oakheart after trying of the small taster cans you get in the supermarket. I've seen Kraken in my local Sainsbury's but don't want to spend £20 on a bottle of something I end up hating.

What's it like in comparison with Morgan's and Oakheart?

Just picked up a bottle of Coscto Kirkland spiced rum, St Croix Island.
1.75L for £35 so thought it was worth a shot!

I believe that Costco spirits are often, mainstream branded spirits with a Costco label. I'm sure I was reliably informed that their brand French Vodka was actually Grey Goose (at about 40% cheaper). My point being that the Kirkland spiced rum is probably going to be very good!

Dragging this one back, any thoughts on rumbullion? Hearing positive things and tempted to order a bottle!

Have also heard good things about rumbullion, definitely one I want to try. Picked up a bottle of Ron Zacapa xo in duty free at the start if the month and tried it for the first time last night. I thought it was going to be good after trying the Ron Zacapa 23yr centenary a while back but this was on a whole other level. Really special rum.

Kraken. It's the equivalent of Belvedere for vodka drinkers. Fantastic rum.

The rumbullion is good well worth a try - just finished up a bottle of pampero aniversario I picked up from duty free recently - very nice smooth rum, seems a little light at first but once you get into it is quite complex.

For me, run has peaked with Pussers Rum. Amazing stuff (and rocket fuel!).

One of my local pubs used to stock Pusser's Rum, that extra 15% proof certainly gives it some poke which is nice in this brisk weather!

I love the stuff!  I came home from work one day, about 11pm and my missus was still up, which is unsual for her.  And even more unusual, she had been drinking.  My rum.

She said she had only had a couple, but she got up to go to bed and her legs were all over the place!  Was like watching Bambi learning to walk!  Brilliant!!!
