6L when somewhere was doing 30% off so it was ~£60. Long gone deal I'm afraid.

Edit: same one as you saw on Amazon.

Just bought this one:
Andrew James 5 Litre Premium Digital Red Slow Cooker with Tempered Glass Lid, Removable Ceramic Inner Bowl And Three Temperature Settings: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home

(it's the same as the one linked-to in the earlier thread)

It does have a timer.  You set the cooking time & power level, then the delay.  The whole thing works fine, but note that the high setting is quite high compared with the Crock Pot it replaced.

Although I only bought it a week or so ago, that was on Amazon Prime, but oddly it no longer is.

==== CORRECTION ====
I actually bought the 6.5l version, but otherwise it's identical.

I'd guess it's because you've got meat sitting in liquid for however long before the timer comes on.

Love my slow cooker , however , I am in when I use it , I reckon it could take a lot of experimentation to get a meal edible at quite a specific time ....

Ah good, I said "out of budget" because it's expensive if you just want a slow cooker. But if it's other functions are of interest it's excellent.

Isn't it the AVF way though. "If you can just increase your budget by .....". I generally set criteria first and then budget to what fulfills requirements.

Delay Start
Timer
Keep Warm
Large
Removable Inner dish
Other marketing terms that will hook me in.

I've made the error of telling my wife about my plan so now she is getting involved. She was going to buy something from Argos without consulting me and cook with it tomorrow. I've told her that I haven't done enough research.

I'm off work next Thursday using up holiday so I'm not in a rush.

1 for the Instant Pot. We bought one last year and must use it every couple of days.

Great purchase and would definitely recommend

That was my conclusion too.

Cheers,
