I love Subway. You have to read the small print though as the ham is reformed meat of some kind and i think the turkey isn't 100% turkey either.

Wow, some of these responses are great ! I remember watching a TV programme a few years ago that said Subway scored highest in numerous hygiene tests. I've never had a problem with the food - but, as JagoPlasma stated, the staff are utter dimwits.

I had another experience about five years ago with, yet again, KFC. I ordered two mini fillet burgers and ate them as soon as I got home. There was something "off" about them, particularly the mayonnaise. Come 10:30pm, I was spewing chunks from both ends and I couldn't lie down without my guts going mental again. This carried on until 5:00am when I FINALLY fell asleep for about eighteen hours. Horrid! I still adore KFC, though . I'm suffering from runny bottom syndrome at this moment in time, so I can't have any good food for the next week or so .

I think it was in the food poisoning thread where someone described it as rusty water.

I had a sausage and baked bean sandwich from a mobile van that used to stop at the small industrial estate where I worked about 15 years ago and it gave me a horrible dose of food poisoning, I was ill for a few days and lost the best part of a stone.

The van owner got wind of it and gave everyone in the factory free sandwiches (I was still off sick at the time) and two more people came down with it as well. He never came back after that and to make matters worse, the idiots that I worked with blamed me for having nobody to buy sarnies from after that .

I use the term 'rusty water' too.

Where I used to live and work, on an *ahem* Pontin's site, the on-centre fried chicken place gave you the ability to 's**t through the eye of a needle' (that was a description someone else used, but it was pretty accurate!).
