I’m not too bothered. If I really wanted the best possible pic I’d buy a top end player not a game console. I’ve done that with dvd and BR but in my view it’s not worth it. Unless you have side by side comparison you won’t know whether you’re looking at a film played in an X, a £100 or a £1k stand-alone player.

I’m very pleased with the HDR10 pic quality of Netflix and Amazon.  To the point I know I’ll only buy one or two UHD discs anyway

The reason i asked was to see if I actually needed to purchase a player . I got the answer  so I can get rid of this pos and purchase a dedicated player . It was the only reason to buy the X box S in the first place . I'm not a console game player and never will be .

Im a P.C gamer ..... better varieties of games and no buying  memberships , just to play a game .
