I guess it all depends on how much money you can save.  I still have an S7 and see no real reason to upgrade yet.
The only advantage to getting an S9 is that it will receive Android upgrades for a little longer than the S8 or S7 but that's only an issue if you plan to keep it for at least 2 years.

Can anyone recommend any decent cases and screen protectors for the S9? Are the "360" cases any good - the ones which come with a screen protector as part of the case? If I do take the plunge and go for the S9 I'd obviously rather order a case so the phone is protected once it arrives.

Cheers in advance.

Tempted to get the S9. I've a 20% code off from very which will put it down to £511. I'll sell my Nokia 8 and only have a few hundred to put towards. I've not had a Samsung since the S6 and always loved their displays.

All, anyone rocking an S9  dual sim model and how is that working out for you?

I currently have an iPhone 7Plus 128 gb and an iPhone 6S Plus as my private and work phone. I have tried the Oneplus phones and ran as dual sim but were a bit rubbish.

If anyone has any feedback I would appreciate it, Cheers.

Carl.

I've had a S9  dual SIM for a few months and it's been fine. I had a Oneplus 3 dual SIM before and thought that was fine too. Not really sure what you want to know. Why did you think the Oneplus phones were rubbish?
One slight niggle is storage - the Duos only comes with 64gb and you can't use the sd card as that's where the second SIM goes.
Also, only one SIM can operate as 4g at a time, the other one will only work at 3g, but it's not really a problem as you have to go into settings to change the default anyway.
The phone is fast, camera is great and I have no problems with it. Happy to answer any more specific questons if I can.

@SeanyF cheers for the reply. My OnePlus experience was rubbish for the time you get a second call come in it was diverted to answer machine or gave the response that the phone was turned off. I understand Samsung have a call divert when busy or not available which I think would work better. Tell me if I am wrong of course. I would like to know how you are handling calls, texts, emails, contacts and also call logging?  Are you able to keep these separate from each other?

Sorry for so many questions.

Carl

Call divert is a network/SIM setting as far as I'm aware, so you should be able to set it up regardless of phone. Most - including mine - default to diverting to voicemail when busy or unavailable but you can set it to divert to whatever number you want. On the S9 you can do it easily in settings but you can also usually do it via your network's website or app. Google will help you find out for your network.
There is a setting that allows you to receive calls from both SIMs even during calls. I'm afraid I have it turned off so can't say how well it works, but I assume it's the same as if any call comes in when you're already speaking - you should be able to switch between them, put one on hold etc.
There's a setting that sets the phone to ask which SIM to use every time you make a call, but I have it turned off.
For most things I have it set up to default to my personal SIM. Wherever it's relevant, there's an option to choose the other one e.g. when making a call There are two green icons so you can call on SIM 1 or 2.
Call logging is fairly limited ie. there's a "recent" tab that shows all your calls. It does show which SIM they/you called on but there's no way to sort it or export it as far as I can tell. There might be an app that can do all that if you need it.
The rest is just like any other phone. In relevant apps like messages (SMS) each message has a little 1 or 2 next to it to show which SIM it came to or was sent from. There's an app called Dual Messenger that allows you to use two separate accounts for Skype and Messenger, but I dont know if thats related to the dual sim.
Sorry I can't tell you more. I'm not really a power user, I just don't want to carry round 2 phones.
