OK. I've done a lot of research and it looks to me like the M6si is the way forward.

The link you posted was very helpful indeed as it gave me an insight into MuFi ownership.

For the price, found a few ex demo with 2 year warranty for £1800. You can't go wrong at that price.


I did spot a Macintosh MA5200 which caught my eye but it would be an import and I just don't want to risk my money with an amp imported from America or Japan. Sod that!

I understand the bigger capacitors and various other upgrades but I don't understand the change to the speaker binding posts from copper to plastic?
Why would that be an upgrade?

The plastic is only there to tighten up on the wire into the binding posts. Almost all amps these days have the plastic fitted to their binding posts. Will not effect the contact at all.

I presume you will have a listen to it prior to purchase? Also MF has been sold to a German company Project, so not sure if this impacts the warranty...

Spoke to this guy yesterday about this. Wanted to trade in my SR250 for it but he wasn't willing to give a fair price on the Arcam.
Haven't discounted it though..
