Unfortunately the settings are set to 'auto calibrated' or something like that so the settings are masked.  I guess this is to stop folk from sharing them on forums for example

I doubt its the glasses.  Perhaps robodan is using a smaller screen size in which case the crosstalk is less prominent?  As I said, crosstalk is much less noticeable on higher contrast/brightness settings.  On most other sets when selecting 3D the brightness increases automatically however, the Toshiba doesn't do that.  In order to watch 3D you have to manually select a brighter picture setting.  Using the [Hollywood Day/Night] mode or even the calibrated [Hollywood Pro] mode is absolutely not an option.  The crosstalk is awful.

Toshiba didn't do their homework on the 3D elements of this set.  The auto-3D settings are dumb.  I cannot find a way of manually selecting 3D SBS when in PC mode.  2D-wise after calibaration it is easily the best image I have ever experienced in my own home.

For those who haven't read it, here is a list of Toshiba's technical infor for their 2011 TV range.  There is some very useful stuff in there.  This link will open the PDF document: http://eu.consumer.toshiba.eu/en/download/Technical_Appendix_Spring_Catalogue_2011.pdf?file=L2NvbnRlbnQvUHVibGljL0RvY3VtZW50cy9jYXRhbG9ndWUvVGVjaG5pY2FsX0FwcGVuZGl4X1NwcmluZ19DYXRhbG9ndWVfMjAxMS5wZGY=

Folks - if you are interested I will loan out my auto-calibration tool.  I have created a separate thread for this here http://www.avforums.com/forums/lcd-led-lcd-tvs/1607639-toshiba-tpa-1-auto-calibration-tool-loan.html

Mods - please advise if you have any issues with this.  Thanks.
