But Mike I was the one who posted MRTVs glowing review of the Quest. Trust you to critics me for picking out a negative.

I always said Quest looks really good from the time it was first shown. I still like it. But I’m not into standalones. I just wouldn’t use it. I might use the Cosmos because you can plug it into the PC and plug it into a mobile phone so best of both worlds. But Cosmos will likely have similar FOV 100-110 but better 2k resolution.

A friend of mine is interested in Quest so hopefully he buys it and I get to try it.

I was expecting it to be the same of slightly higher. Still looks good though.

Dont get me wrong i would have loved it to have a high FOV... but the screen is higher res than the rift, and the hardware powering it is frankly.... crap! imo (i would have been much more interested with an 845 chipset even if it cost an extra $50)

Something had to give and it really does not surprise me it is the FOV. but even then. ...... i would need more confirmation to be convinced. He said himself he cant use his glasses in the rift, so it could easily be that the reduction in FOV he is seeing is because of his glasses.

I am tempted for exercise stuff.... if i could do exercise outside using this thing it would be great and not have to worry about space issues inside..
that said, i am a little concerned at how much of a prat i would look to the neighbours playing Thrill of the fight or beat saber or some such in the garden!!!

I wouldn’t use use a Quest in my back garden I’ve got a pond a the waters rather cold at this time of year.

have some faith in the tracking.... just set up the guardian system around the pond.. where is your sense of adventure?

We'll find out tomorrow when the press embargo is over, she probably forgot about the embargo being in place I think lol

Press embargo? They have a conference at 5:30pm today afaik but dunno if they'll let in on anything yet
