Agree with MikeNelson. Got mine yesterday too, only had about an hour to play with it but so far so good. It hasn’t blown my socks off yet but it’s a nifty little device.

At £599 looks expensive but then again a big bump in prices is a result of £ decline against the $ (so get used to it!). If you take the US price ($599) convert to £ and add VAT you get pretty much £599.

However, considering in the UK we got a free keyboard cover as part of the order, this is a decent deal (in US they only got a microSD card as a freebie for pre-ordering). A comparable Ipad Pro would cost a lot more (if you include the pen and keyboard). A big selling point was expandable storage – you can pick up a 64Gb card for £20 and triple the storage! In comparison, a 128Gb Ipad Pro is certainly ain’t cheap.

In fact, 128gb ipad pro   keyboard cover   pen comes out to £966. Well £599 is 38% cheaper

I left my order late and ended up buying a Silver one from John Lewis, so no free keyboard but then I didn't have to wait until the end of April. Found someone online who got a free one and got a good deal so not too bad.

Seems nice so far although have been getting a fair bit of lag, need to try restarting and hope it goes away, nice bit of kit though.

This is my first tablet so I don't know what to expect from the battery. I get about 7-8% drain in battery overnight (in idle mode). This sounds like a lot, i can see ipads generally lose 1-3% overnight. Chrism_scotland and MikeNelson, do you get a similar result?

(I haven't yet tinkered with the various settings).

I haven't left mine uplugged overnight yet, however I have seen similar reports over on XDA-Developers with some suggestion that the Wifi is causing battery drain, you can set the Wifi to be off when the tablet is "sleeping", I'm hopeful that its an issue that can be sorted with an update though.

Expandable storage perhaps but if it's not adoptable storage, then for my needs, it falls short. For some reason, Samsung has left this feature out of their last generation devices (despite Android implementing it as part of Marshmallow).

I have apps and software which are incompatible with expandable storage so the on-board 32GB space would quickly get filled up. Strange, as the earlier generation Tab S2 was available in 64GB (albeit a US Best Buy Exclusive).

Pity - as I love all of the other specifications (especially that screen).

It did the trick. I changed WIFI to be off when "sleeping" and it lost only 1% overnight. Thanks!

First full day with the tablet at work. Used fairly sparingly but turned Wifi back on while sleeping, sed it for some Spotify and syncing Gmail, etc and the battery hardly went down at all.

something i noticed early on but it's starting to bug me - when i scroll through a page (or flick through pictures, for example) I notice the top of screen moves slower than the bottom (except when scrolling very slowly). It almost gives the effect that the image bends/warps slightly and then recomposes as the top catches up. It's split-second adjustment but enough to be noticeable. Any thoughts? Do you also have this?

I'll need to have a look but if it is what I think it is I believe its an "effect" that was added into a recent version of android for some reason either deliberately (god only knows why) or by mistake, I've seen it on other devices.
