I know your right, I'm almost there but then I'm thinking if I'm this bad on the standard stainless steel where the marks don't leap out drastically what will I be like if a scratch does appear on the space black, it will stand out like a sore thumb. I just wish a destruction test would come out soon.

I'm sure it will be very difficult to scratch the space black but need some reassurance first.

Seriously, someone posted a pic of one on the MacRumors SB owners thread, and we did a bit of research into what this is.  Metal actual leaves a mark behind because the DLC is so tough.  The only way to get it off is the eraser method and gun oil...  Seems to work a treat on other DLC coated objects.

Mine has just taken payment so will be with me tomorrow if you wanted to hang it out a few more days.

My advice is to initiate a return, maybe by visiting an Apple Store and showing them why you are not satisfied and that you would like them to raise the request.  This gets validation that it is legit to return.  You then get 8 days or so to actually post it back FOC
