I thought Cav had the stage today especially as it was a better lead out than last time, but no I thought he'd gone a bit too early, but well done To Kittel - three stages. I really hope the missile is locked and loaded for tomorrow and Saturday

Some big climbs over the weekend i think sky will crack again from the pace of the other teams and froome will be on his own again..

i dont know, they over extended them selves on the first mountain stage trying to get froome a time advantage and paid for it and cracked the following day. it might be different this time as they are only trying to maintain his advantage rather than extend it.

however the other teams will attack early and often as thats been shown as the way to crack the sky team. they will have to rise to the occasion or froome will have to win the tour by himself

What a horrible irony it would be if Froome lost the tour because he doesn't have a team mate as good as he was for Wiggins last year.

Watching again today on a flat stage I'm a bit worried, Froome is going to get attacked again and again on the mountains. The one thing he has going for him is that he is the strongest rider at present, but if he has to and does do it himself it would be a monumental achievement.

too true that would make me sick if that happened

Amazing win for Froome on the Ventoux today, really threw down the gauntlet to the pretenders today. What a great stage.

Fabulous riding, well done to the rest of the Sky team and Porte in particular for finishing off virtually all the contenders, Froome v Contador on current form was a foregone conclusion. I'm still suprised how much Contador is struggling on the climbs, maybe that's the difference between him riding clean and what he did previously.

Yeah, maybe the suspicious side of me makes me wonder but Contador, Evans and Shleck all lost form shortly after Contador getting caught, Andy Shleck's brother getting caught and that Spanish doctor getting the nick? To be fair I think Evens just might be past it. On the plus side, it does appear that nearly all of them are clean these days.

Understandable suspicions I guess, but Contador seemed to manage OK in last year's Vuelta. I assume he was clean then.
