Straight onto a washed/detarred wheel?
Or do you use a polish before sealant?

The wheels (and tyres) were cleaned with Autosmart Smart Wheels, and sealed with Zaino Clear Seal, but as they are multi spokes on both cars I thought the pressure washer might get in to the nooks and crannies a bit easier than my mits !

Washed (no de-tarring needed as just refurbed) Megs polish, then 2 coats of PoorBoys.

Don't think they do one specifically for black leather.
It's just one product fits all.

Gliptone Liquid Leather Cleaner - Clean Your Car

That is a link to the cleaner.
You follow that up with the conditioner.

Gliptone Liquid Leather Conditioner | Leather Care - Clean Your Car

I got mine as a pair for less money off a 'well known auction site'.
I use it on all the leather house furniture too.
The smell...mmmmmmm....

Don't matter what colour your seats are..

GLIPTONE LIQUID LEATHER CAR SEAT CLEANER & CONDITIONER | eBay

If the leather has lost its top coating, you can do a DIY repair, which is what i did on my drivers seat bolster.

So this now has my interest too......my challenge is that there is a mine of information out there and numerous recommended brands which doesn't surprise me.

What I could do with is a prescribed 'shopping list' for a total novice of what I would need to cover the basics.....clays, hard wax, applicators ..... whatever you think. I've got a new shiny black car being delivered next weekend and now the days are getting longer, I want to keep it in showroom condition.

Thanks guys

Ha ha, black car.....showroom condition!!

Do you have a full time job?

My missus has a jet black Golf GTI, and it looks amazing after a full wash/clay/polish/wax.....for about 5 minutes!  The paint shows up every speck of dust and dirt.

Seriously though, i'd get a professional detailer to prepare and protect it, then do topup protection yourself.
