Our '43 on 19s was fitted with Vredestein all weather tyres by our dealer, we still have the Summer tyres in our garage. They are neither MO1 stamped or Y-rated (W, so still within the car's capabilities), but as they were fitted by the MB dealer we have accepted them - and are putting up with the resultant 'knobbly' feeling through the steering wheel. Of course, the tyres weren't the cause of the air suspension failt that occured the week after they were fitted...

By the way, I think my wife (Louise H*****) and you have conversed at length regarding crabbing MBs. Glad to see you are a member of this forum too!

@Confucius I'd love to say I know your wife well but that sounds so wrong But yes she and a few others, and you by proxy, have really gone through it badly haven't we.

We have now done about 2,000 following the 'fix' on the BMW marked Continental tyres and the car is still very good, and no significant tyre wear either. Actually I have nearly forgotten all about it....

I think Lou & I have reached the stage of grudging acceptance (of the car, not each other! - that occurred a couple of decades ago...). Aside from the crabbing issue, now covered up by the A/S tyres, the car remains a fine thing to blat around in. If only MB customer service weren't so woeful, we certainly won't be going back to them when it's time to replace it....

...On which subject a friend's cousin bought a C63S last October - a car I was once looking at for myself until neither the dealer nor MB UK could supply one for a test drive - he's owned it 7 months, of which he's been able to drive it for 7 WEEKS due to faulty electrical steering assistance. He's tried to reject but the dealer apparently isn't interested.

Yes, I agree. That is a real issue. My dealer finally came around but not without a lot of finger pointing at it being my fault, me posting fake videos etc. Until they finally accepted my invite to take a ride in my car. Why they didn't do that the first time I reported it is just beyond me.

Hey guys!

Is this crabbing thing still an issue?
I'm considering buying 2017 or 2018 250d/350d model...however upon hearing about this crabbing issue I'm a little cautious!

Has this crabbing issue been sorted or still a problem?

As per the cross post; I’m afraid it has NOT been sorted. I would stay well clear of these cars.
