Normal reply to this would include some colourful language that's not suitable for a family friendly forum

I think it's wrong of companies to have various types of systems that do the same thing and then call it an options and basically provide a crap version if you don't pay extra!

I know merc etc love the options tho!!

Which is fair enough and your prerogative. On the other hand I know of lots of people who get annoyed when options are all included in pack for things they don't really want.

It is not like it is hidden what is provided. It is very clearly laid out in their documentation and on the order form. Further more when you spend the better part of say £35K  one should really do some due diligence about what one is buying in my opinion.

There are plenty of people that do not care about integrated satnav, voice commands or anything like that. Heck don't we see many people in expensive cars (which definitely have bluetooth built-in) still holding the telephone in their hand?

For example I really don't care about the sunroof. But for some daft reason if I wanted Burmester sound, I had to buy the Command Online upgrade and the panoramic sunroof as well.

It is about choices and compromises. I cared more about Burmester sound than I cared about not having the sunroof.

I'd rather have that they have more options so you can choose it how you want it.

Oh I have to agree it's quite amazing the number of people in expensive cars using their phone! Maybe that why haha

To be fair even the standard system allows you to sync your phone contacts, and answer calls. The microphone is no different.

Almost a year later and I really despise this car. The electric window won't close sometimes and drops down 3 or 4 inches repeatedly.

Sometimes the electric mirrors don't fold out.

The Bluetooth disconnects my phone every day, losing my quick dial list.

I pod plays when it feels like it. Usually it just says not compatible.

Auto park feature kerbed my rear wheel

The stop-start is more like stop, have a good think, think a bit more, off you go.

The gearbox defaults to comfort mode rather than my individual setting...

I could go on.
