Disappointed with my new car

Oh, only 7K not 21K miles...So 15K for your first set, and 7K for your next set...Hmm that doesn't seem right at all indeed. I would push Mercedes a bit more on that, you don't have a sporty car it should easily be able to do 20K  miles on a set of tyres...

I'd have thought so. My driving got 40k out of the Grand Cherokee with tread to spare when I sent it back after 2 years.

I expect Mercedes to have a bit of extra wear at the front due to the way the steering rack tends to go. On my Navara and Patrol I easily got 35K out of a set of tyres. But with Mercedes it has always been less; our GL class was about 18K iirc and our current GLC class is hopeless 18K miles and I'm ready for my fourth set of tyres, but so far I got Mercedes to pay for all of them. It is going in again on Wednesday to get it checked, I contacted AMG customer support to complain that this is just not right...So fingers cross my 4th set of tyres....At £285 for the front and £350 for the rear it is worth it to make a song and dance about it...

Sounds like that episode of Top Gear where Clarkson wore out the tyres after a couple of laps...

Maybe they set the geometry for the Top Gear Circuit

Probably too much toe in scuffing the inner edges. Or too much high speed cornering!

I've had a few Merc over the last few years but all were 350 cdi engines and I loved them. Li guayronic worked fine and the telephone connections were perfect everytime.
Just moved to a bmw 7 series and it's nice but it's not an S Class. The engine isn't quite as refined as the Merc but I'm still happy with it but pretty sure it will be back to Merc next time.
We are all different and have different likes or annoyances.
As for touch screen media centres.....hate them....takes your eye off the road for too long and I would always hit a bump just as I'm about to press so would end up pressing the wrong button plus the screen was always covered with grubby finger prints !

Recalled for dodgy rear seatbelts. Not only is it sh*t, it could have killed my kids.

I think the only way for me to miss this car when I get rid of it is to get a Maserati.
