Cheers, I'd forgotten I'd read the first 2 until I re-read the synopsis but they were good. I'm just downloading the 3rd book which I didn't realise was out

Just got to 90% according to kindle.  Very much more of the same.  But entertaining in the summer blockbuster movie type way

The book that has had the most impact on me is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. The world needs innovators, scientists and entrepreneurs. Not politics and self serving ******

Sorry for resurrecting such an old post, but im currently on book 3 of The Belgariad and thoroughly enjoying it but I've read that The Mallorean series is not as good? It may just have been a biased opinion though

I've been trying to decide whether to just read The Belgariad and leave it there, or do you think The Mallorean is definitely worth a read?

I've already read Belgarath the sorcerer as I thought that was a standalone book, but that's what put me onto The Belgariad series.

Definitely worth reading both. All the same characters and a continuation of the story. In my opinion, it's just as good and you really can't read\enjoy the first and not read the second

Thanks sniffer, I'll definitely be getting them then.
Its a shame that both series aren't available as eBooks though.
