Pardon my ignorance but what's FP?

FP = Forbidden Planet.


"Little glass pub" was The Conservatory - many a night of misspent youth in there when I used to work almost directly opposite Forbidden Planet. I actually had my 21st in their function room upstairs free of charge, as the company I was working for held most of it's "meetings" in there, and most nights after work were spent in there.  It changed owners and went downhill, which was a shame. I think it's called "The Intrepid Fox" now...

I used to have three billy bookcases filled to overflowing in the spare bedroom but after I first doubled up the shelves then started stacking them on the floor I was forced to shove all books into the cupboard under the stairs.

This is one geeky thread (albeit nowhere near as geeky - or I should say pointless - as the Get your macs out for the lads one as...well a Mac is a Mac isn't it? )

Interesting to see people's tastes, there's an overriding theme of fantasy fiction in the pics so far

Yep, we are hardcore Fantasy/Sci-Fi geeks - you just watch us roll up the sleeves of our white shirts with the pockets full of pens when those non fiction lads start posting their efforts!

I used to keep all the books that I'd read on bookshelves but then I suddenly realised there was no point to it as I'd never read them again, so I gave them all away
